Riggs Parent Seminars
Riggs is the phonics, reading, writing, and spelling program used at LCS to develop student literacy skills. This seminar will provide basic information and will be a hands-on opportunity to better understand how to help your student use Riggs techniques.
The Elementary English Team would like to invite parents to attend a Riggs Training Night. This year we will tailor the evening toward Kindergarten to Second Grade during the earlier hour, while Third Grade to Fifth Grade will be the focus of the second hour. You are welcome to come to just one hour, or stay for both. If you have not attended a Riggs Night in previous years and would like to learn more, please choose the night that best fits your family, and join the English Team for one of these events.

What Others Have to Say...
"I wanted to thank you all for taking time away from your families last night to help teach me a bit about Riggs. For the first three weeks of school, I have felt lost...but now with the cheat sheets and the flash cards, I now feel confident that I can help my son succeed with this. He showed me this morning which phonograms he has learned (first grade). It's amazing how much he already knows. Thank you also for all the help with how you are teaching penmanship; "clocks" now make complete sense. Again thank you so very very much." -Chelsea Heveran
