On April 29, 2013 Loveland Classical Schools’ students had the honor of welcoming Mayor Cecil Gutierrez to their school. The Mayor participated in a school-wide assembly where he presented LCS with an award plaque for the district-wide Spring Break Student Stampede to the library competition.
The second annual contest was hosted by the Thompson School District in cooperation with the Loveland Public Library. Much like their summer reading program, this event was meant to inspire kids to visit the library and read during Spring Break to reduce attrition in reading skills while school was not in session.
The two schools with the most registered visitors from April 1-5, 2013 were visited by either Superintendent Dr. Stan Scheer or Loveland Mayor Cecil Gutierrez and presented with a handsome award.
Congratulations to the students of LCS!
