LOVELAND — A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled Saturday for the new Loveland Classical Schools building.
The event is set at 9 a.m. at the site of the new school, which is located at the northwest corner of 29th Street and Wilson Avenue. Parking will be available on the school property and will be accessible from 29th Street west of King of Glory Church.
Construction of a new high school and middle school campus is expected to begin later this month, and the school will open for the 2017-18 year.
The charter school is issuing tax-exempt bonds to pay for the new school and to cover the cost of the purchase of its current building. The elementary school will stay at the current site, and the upper levels will move to the new school.
