Tom Sawyer Day is the culmination of the fifth grade students’ study of the book. Not only do the students dress like characters in Tom Sawyer, but the day also includes various booths. Join the classes in a variety of activities, including a pinch bug competition, a marbles game, a buried treasure search, a whitewashing competition, a spelling bee, a jam booth and more. Students pair up and lead each booth, including planning, decorating the tables, and supervising the activity.
