Elementary Students Taking Charge
At Loveland Classical Schools, student leadership is not just for middle and high school! Our elementary students work hard to instill the feeling of community at their school through their very own student government, led by students from grades 3-5.
Supporting Future Leaders
Student representatives from the upper elementary grades meet to plan, organize, and implement school-wide events. These events strengthen our school community on a weekly basis at the Lyceum campus. Run much like the Academy student government, officers are elected from participants within the group. Elementary representative positions are a two-year term, which allows the kids from the previous year to mentor those coming up this year. This year’s secretary, 5th-grader Rachel McGough, says “I joined the club because I love to write and really want to be a leader.” One of LCS’ core visions is to cultivate the passion of social responsibility within our students. Stewardship and service are encouraged as we work to better our community. Participating in such a club enables students to enact positive change through taking charge and demonstrating strong moral character.
