Learning about Local Law Enforcement

Kindergarten students enjoyed getting to meet (and pet) Sherriff’s Deputy Hulme’s K9, Ryker, during class on Monday. Deputy Hulme then spoke with each class about what his job entails and how Ryker helps him protect our community!

K9 in the Classroom

This week, both part-time and full-time Kindergarten classes had a special visitor! Sherriff’s Deputy Hulme and his K9, an eight-year-old German Shepherd named Ryker, stopped by to talk to the kids about what it means to be in law enforcement. This was a great opportunity for all of the Kindergartners to get to meet one of the local Sherriff’s Deputies and hear about all the important things he does to support our community! Deputy Hulme has two daughters at LCS and his wife, Stephanie Hulme, is a teaching assistant in Mrs. Ramirez’s full-time Kindergarten class!

Learn more about LCS at the next informational meeting Wed., December 12 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
