LCS Lyceum’s Grandparents’ Day
The LCS Lyceum held its 6th annual Grandparents’ Day this week on Thursday and Friday, with over 250 people in attendance! LCS firmly believes grandparents have an honored place and a special role in the education and upbringing of all students.
Hearts of Gold
Grandparents spent Thursday and Friday this week touring the school, engaging with classes, and having lunch with their grandkids. Grandparents visiting Mrs. Alverson’s 1st-grade history class even got to experience mummy day! Students have been learning about Ancient Egypt and are ending their unit by mummifying stuffed animals in the way the Ancient Egyptians did. Grandparents were also asked to write a piece of advice for our elementary students on posters that will then be displayed in the halls. These posters will serve as a wonderful and lasting reminder of all the important wisdom grandparents can pass down.
