Bethany Smith is honored to be part of the wonderful community of students, parents, teachers, and staff at Loveland Classical Schools. Ms. Smith graduated Magna Cum Laude from San Diego State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a minor in Theatre. Upon graduating, she lived in New York City, Arizona, and Hawaii before taking her first teaching position in Southern California in the spring of 2016. Ms. Smith taught 9th and 10th grade English and enjoyed the unique opportunity of working with her mother, a 23-year English teacher, who retired at the year’s end.
Prior to teaching, Ms. Smith was a professional actor and had the pleasure of playing some of Shakespeare’s leading ladies: Desdemona, Ophelia, and Helena to name a few. Her passion for the stage infused with a love of literature are the ingredients that bring English to life in her classroom.
Ms. Smith looks forward to another year of creativity, discovery, and expansion with the talented, young minds of Loveland Classical Schools.
