Crystal Ennen grew up in North Dakota, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Special Education at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Ms. Ennen also holds her Developmental Disabilities Graduate Certificate from Minot State University and has earned her Educational Licensure in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Colorado.
Ms. Ennen has experience supporting individuals of all ages and ability levels in educational, community, and family settings including Special Education, Case Management, Respite Care, Vocational Supervision, Parent Coaching, Early Intervention, and Literacy Intervention. She is a Nurtured Heart Approach® Certified Trainer and provides independent consulting locally, as well as portrait photography.
Ms. Ennen is honored to be the Literacy Interventionist at LCS. She enjoys seeing students unlock the joy of reading first-hand through explicit phonetic instruction. She has lots of experience with neurodiversity and is trained in Orton-Gillingham methods by the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education, the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing Program by Lindamood-Bell, and Riggs. She collaborates with Amanda Worrell and the Literacy Support Team to meet the unique needs of all students at LCS. She has a special interest in clear, success-focused literacy instruction, and is grateful to combine her expertise in intervention with her passion for reading and literacy.
Ms. Ennen enjoys leisurely hiking in the mountain sunshine, live music, home improvement projects, dates with her amazing husband, hanging out with her animals, and reading real books made out of paper.
