Mr. Stout is honored to serve as Loveland Classical Schools’ Executive Director towards implementing its mission and vision to provide a high-quality classical education for LCS’ students and families. Mr. Stout has been with Loveland Classical Schools since it first opened in 2011, and the 2020-2021 school year is his seventeenth year in education and seventh as LCS’ school leader.
Mr. Stout received his B.A. degrees in both History and Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he studied the history of thought focusing on comparative ontology. Mr. Stout later received an M.A. in Education with a concentration in educational leadership from Goddard College, a liberal arts college in Vermont. Mr. Stout is currently pursuing his doctorate in executive leadership from the University of Colorado, Denver, and he holds Colorado Principal and Superintendent licenses.
Before coming to LCS, Mr. Stout taught outdoor leadership and natural science in California, Colorado, and Alaska before teaching and living abroad for six years. In addition to teaching world history in Mongolia and English in Morocco, Mr. Stout traveled through South America, Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe.
Mr. Stout enjoys wilderness exploration, engaging with the classics and classical education, reading, and spending time with his family.
