Ms. Carlson is excited to spend her second year teaching at LCS as the elementary Spanish teacher and third grade literature teacher. She spent her childhood competitive figure skating and coaching young children. She has known she wanted to be a teacher since second grade when her teacher showed a passion for teaching and lifelong learning. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Education and Elementary Education from University of Wisconsin Eau Claire in December 2016. She spent five months studying the Spanish language and culture in Valladolid, Spain and is eager to share her experiences with her students. She spent her summers in college teaching first through fourth graders Spanish in an immersion setting and is very enthusiastic about teaching both Spanish and English to elementary students.
Ms. Carlson enjoys spending her free time outdoors hiking, biking, and relaxing in the fresh air. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Carlson is excited to continue to learn and grow as an educator with her students.
