Mrs. Miller has over 28 years of successful teaching and coaching experience in the public, private, and home school arenas. She has taught at Loveland Classical Schools since its inception. She graduated from Colorado State University (CSU) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, double majoring in management and industrial relations. She has completed the teaching program at CSU and holds a Colorado Professional Teacher’s License with an endorsement in secondary education. Mrs. Miller has also earned her highly qualified elementary teaching endorsement through the state of Colorado. She has taught at all levels of education.
History is her passion. She loves the “Story of the World” and the people and places in it! Some of her achievements and accolades during her teaching career include: the Crystal Apple award, awarded to outstanding teachers in Colorado, the Reporter Herald’s, “People Who Make a Difference” award, given to her and her husband for their impact on the students and families in the Loveland community, and “Coach of the Year” award for all of the Thompson School District. She and her husband, Mark, coached 15 state champions in cross country and track for Loveland High School. Mrs. Miller has served as a motivational speaker for various women’s groups and high school running camps.
While raising her daughter at home, she co-owned and managed a nationally recognized timber frame construction company with her husband. She was married to Mark for 19 years before his sudden passing in 2012. Her daughter Molly is a senior at LCS. Mrs. Miller is passionate about discovering life and fulfilling her calling as a teacher and leader. She believes each young person in her class has immeasurable value and purpose in this life. As their teacher, she is compelled not only to teach them amazing and necessary facts and information regarding history and geography, but more importantly, to inspire, affirm, and lead them on their own journey of human excellence.
“The world is an amazing place; I want to give students a passion to discover it and influence it in a positive and meaningful way!” Mrs. Miller enjoys being with her daughter Molly, reading together as a family, hiking, running, gardening, coaching, growing spiritually, and staying active and engaged in life.
