Lisa Olson is pleased to be returning to LCS at both the Academy and Lyceum campuses for her fifth year as the school RN. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at George Mason University and has worked in many positions as a nurse throughout her nursing career from bedside nursing to hospital supervisor. The majority of her nursing career she spent as an Emergency Trauma Nurse at a Level 1 Trauma Center outside of Washington, DC. Her background and experience are an asset for her work as a school nurse. She is grateful to work for Thompson School District and have the opportunity to take care of preschool through 12th grade students.
When she is not working, she can often be found on a tennis court. She is a competitive tennis player and plays on several teams throughout the year. She and her husband became empty nesters last fall when they sent their fourth child off to college. However, she still enjoys every second that she gets to spend with her kids when they are not away at school. She is looking forward to supporting the children and families at LCS in having a healthy, happy school year.
