Mr. Weeks was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. He attended St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and a Master of Arts in Eastern Liberal Arts.
Mr. Weeks would not be a math teacher if he had not encountered Euclid’s Elements at St. John’s. Euclid inspired him to want to clarify the confusing components of mathematics for his students by offering an account of the reasons why which underlie math, while simultaneously highlighting the paradoxical intricacies that continue to fascinate us generations later.
Mr. Weeks spent five years working in the Santa Fe public schools, first as a tutor and ultimately as a full-time teacher. He also spent six years working in the music industry before returning to teaching.
Outside of the classroom, Mr. Weeks enjoys the outdoors, playing music, reading and discussing philosophy, and exploring life with his wife, Christa, and their three-year-old son, Zeno.
This is Mr. Weeks’ second year with Loveland Classical and third year living in Loveland.
