Ms. Parks is a Colorado native, who graduated from Thompson Valley High School in 2000. After high school, she attended the University of Northern Colorado where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis in early childhood development. Ms. Parks completed her college internship working in kindergarten classes.
After graduating from college, Ms. Parks taught preschool and later joined the High Plains Library District. After her second child was born, she took some time off work to stay home with her children. Ms. Parks began working for the Loveland Public Library in the technology department, teaching both adults and children a variety of technology skills. Ms. Parks started at LCS by volunteering in her children’s classrooms. She began as a Classroom Coordinator at LCS in 2014 and was hired as an elementary English teacher in 2017. She is thrilled to be continuing in her English teacher role at LCS.
Ms. Parks enjoys spending time with her family, including her two beautiful daughters Kaidence and Korinne, and their dog. She loves to read science fiction/Dystopian novels, cross-stitch, practice yoga, and create graphic designs. Ms. Parks also enjoys gluten-free cooking, spending time outdoors, hiking, and gardening.
