Whitney Thistle

Mrs. Thistle is a native of Colorado. She joined the Air Force in 2001, where she spent four years working on the B-2 bomber. When Mrs. Thistle left the military, she returned to beautiful Colorado and went to work for Lockheed Martin. There, she worked as a composite technician building spacecraft structures. In 2010 she left the aerospace industry to pursue a teaching career. Mrs. Thistle and her family moved to Loveland where she attended Colorado Christian University. In 2012 she obtained her degree in Elementary Education and became a licensed K-6 teacher.

Mrs. Thistle joined LCS in 2015 as a READ paraprofessional. She then moved into a history teaching position. She is excited to be teaching second grade and fourth grade history for the second year.

Mrs. Thistle, her husband, and their two children enjoy spending time together in the outdoors, hiking, bicycling, fishing, and going to the park. Mrs. Thistles’ new hobby is to go foraging and turn her finds into jams, jellies, and medicine.
