Carpool Information

Transportation is the responsibility of the student and his/her family. Many LCS students participate in a carpool. LCS encourages parents to utilize carpooling whenever possible to mitigate the travel demand into and out of campus. At LCS, carpooling counts toward volunteer hours! Sign up today!

Note that families with students at each campus can greatly help our traffic by carpooling from the Lyceum to the Academy. Once you’re paired with another family who has kids at both campuses, you can work out a schedule. One parent will bring kids from both families to the Academy where you meet in the parking lot to swap kids and also to pick up your older students. It saves times for families and for our staff working traffic.

*Note that if you choose to submit your information, it will be shared with all other families that submit their information.

Please email our Volunteer Coordinator for help with carpooling questions.

Important Note about Parking

LCS is committed to keeping all LCS traffic on site, as well as being good neighbors. Parents should never park next door at the church without prior, expressed permission for special events and should never use the church parking lot to drop-off or pick-up students. Parents are highly encouraged to utilize our traffic pattern for the safest way to drop-off and pick-up.

Please contact our Central Support Supervisor for help with traffic direction or parking questions.

Traffic Duty

LCS is committed to our students' safety and loves to partner with our parents in assisting with morning dropoff and afternoon pickup procedures. Every time you assist us with traffic duty, it frees up a staff member to focus on the day's lessons, upcoming meetings and more.

Please contact Mrs. Witty with the dates and locations for which you'd like to volunteer.

Elementary Campus, Grades K-5

Morning Drop-off Plan

•Drop-off time is between 7:35 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Students will not be supervised until 7:35 a.m.
•Students will enter from the back lobby. If parents would like to enter the building they will need to do so from the front entrance, providing their vital badge to the front desk.

Afternoon Pick-up Plan

•After school pick-up arrival time is between 3:10 & 3:30 p.m., arriving early for pick-up will disrupt our traffic pattern and cause longer traffic lines.

Upper School Campus, Grades 6-12
